AIDR is building real-time data loss prevention for enterprise AI, intercepting and classifying data before it reaches tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot and Gemini. Its endpoint agent and security platform inspect interactions, flag policy violations such as prompt injections, and automatically redact or mask sensitive information.

Employees are pasting confidential data into generative AI tools faster than security teams can govern it, and the company says clipboard-level monitoring of that behaviour has been a genuine blind spot. As AI adoption outpaces controls, data leakage, compliance breaches and IP exposure become board-level problems.

The founding team says the idea emerged in Q3 2024 while working in enterprise security, after spotting employees using AI tools with no effective clipboard monitoring. A prototype with a custom local AI/ML model followed by the end of 2024.

Founder Pranav Patel and the team point to an enterprise security background as the origin of the problem they're solving. They've shipped concrete building blocks — a transparent HTTPS inspection layer, a rules-engine dashboard, and a tamper-evident cryptographic audit ledger.
