VLEO 5G satellite constellation for telecom operators MoreLess
Univity (formerly Constellation Technologies & Operations) is a French space-tech company building a very-low-Earth-orbit (VLEO) satellite constellation that reuses terrestrial 5G spectrum so telecom operators can offer high-speed, low-latency space connectivity alongside their networks. Founded in 2022 by Charles Delfieux, it is developing demonstrator and user-terminal products (including uniSpark, uniBox and uniGate) aimed at residential, enterprise, backhaul and mobility markets. After a €9.3 million Seed in October 2024 led by Expansion Venture Capital with French Tech Seed (Bpifrance), Univity raised a €27 million Series A in April 2026 from Blast, Expansion and Bpifrance’s Deeptech 2030 fund, with family offices, to fund its uniShape VLEO satellites and Direct-to-Cell validation ahead of the larger uniSky constellation.
