Radar sensing, AI fusion and response software protecting critical infrastructure MoreLess
Rebellion Industries (formerly Rebellion Defense) builds sensing and response platforms that protect critical assets and infrastructure. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., it was founded in 2019 by former Defense Digital Service director Chris Lynch, together with Nicole Camarillo and Oliver Lewis. After restructuring in 2023, Ben FitzGerald became CEO on 1 January ️ 2024; the company's current website lists Shu Chowdhury as Founder and CEO.
Its flagship platform, RBLN-OS, combines sensing, AI-driven track fusion and response tools designed to detect and counter threats such as drones, hypersonics, weather hazards and sea-state changes around an asset. Its ARGUS radar is a miniature, multi-band AESA system; IRIS delivers AI-enabled mission awareness. Customers include US Navy and Air Force programmes and allied defence ministries such as the UK Ministry of Defence. The company raised venture funding from investors including Kleiner Perkins, Insight Partners and Venrock, and was valued above $1 billion in 2021.
