Knowunity is a German EdTech company that operates an AI-powered, peer-to-peer learning platform. The company operates on a freemium business model. Core features and a significant amount of content are available for free, which has driven rapid user acquisition. Revenue is primarily generated through a B2C premium subscription that unlocks advanced features. Knowunity also generates revenue through employer branding partnerships with companies like Vodafone and Porsche. As of June 2025, the platform had over 20 million users across 15 countries and had raised a total of €45 million in funding. The latest Series B funding round of €27 million was led by XAnge, with plans to expand into the US and Asian markets and further develop the AI companion's personalization capabilities.
