Heizma

Heizma is an Austrian clean energy company specializing in the electrification of single-family homes. Founded in 2023 and officially launched in March 2024 by serial entrepreneurs Alexander Valtingojer, Michael Kowatschew, and Valentin Perkonigg, the Vienna-based company aims to simplify the transition to renewable energy for homeowners. The founders bring a breadth of experience from previous ventures; Valtingojer founded the crypto fintech company Coinpanion, Kowatschew is a former president of the entrepreneur community Sigma Squared and co-founded Thepixelbeat, and Perkonigg is a co-founder of the real estate investment platform Brickwise.

Heizma provides end-to-end services, from planning to installation, of renewable energy systems. The company's core offerings include heat pumps, photovoltaic (PV) systems, battery storage, and energy management solutions. By positioning itself as a 5-in-1 provider that also includes Wallboxes, Heizma aims to be a single point of contact for home energy needs, distinguishing itself from traditional, often less integrated, HVAC companies. In December 2024, Heizma acquired meo ENERGY, a Graz-based firm, to incorporate intelligent energy management technology into its product suite, which helps optimize household energy flows automatically. The business model targets homeowners in Austria, with regional subsidiaries covering approximately 80% of the market.

The company has demonstrated rapid growth since its inception. In April 2025, Heizma secured €2.5 million in a pre-seed funding round from investors including Flyer One Ventures, Bernhard Niesner (Busuu), Hanno Lippitsch (Eversports), and Felix Porsche. This capital is intended for nationwide expansion, advancing its energy management technology, and introducing new financing options for customers, such as acquiring energy solutions with no down payment. Heizma reported achieving a sales volume of approximately €12 million in its first year and aims for significant revenue growth in the coming years.
