Hansoft

Hansoft, now known as Helix Plan, is a project management and team collaboration tool founded in Uppsala, Sweden, in 2005. The company was established to provide a solution for managing large and intricate projects, particularly within the game development and software industries. Patric Palm is a co-founder and served as the CEO.

In September 2017, Perforce Software, a provider of version control and developer collaboration software, acquired Hansoft. This acquisition integrated Hansoft's agile planning capabilities into Perforce's portfolio, creating a more comprehensive suite for the software development lifecycle. Following the acquisition, Hansoft was rebranded as Helix Plan to align with Perforce's product ecosystem, which includes Helix Core and Helix ALM.

The platform serves industries such as game development, electronics, aerospace, telecom, and cloud services. Its business model is based on subscriptions, with pricing per user per month, and it also offers a free version for up to five users. The tool can be deployed on-premises, in a private cloud, or as a SaaS solution provided by Perforce.

Helix Plan is an enterprise agile planning tool that supports various methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, Gantt charts, and Waterfall, allowing teams to use a hybrid approach. Key features include a unified product backlog, resource management, task tracking, real-time reporting, and customizable dashboards. The software is designed to scale for large organizations and provides a single platform for decision-making across project, program, and portfolio levels. It integrates with other tools in the Perforce ecosystem to enhance traceability and workflow automation.
